On July 13, 2006, John Horgan, BC Heritage Minister Olga Ilich and North Cowichan Mayor Jon Lefebure visited the historic Kinsol Trestle site.  John's goal was to work with the Province and the Regional District to find solutions to save the Kinsol Trestle.   Not only is it a heritage jewel by connecting us to our proud past, the Trestle would also benefit tourism and be an alternate transportation route linking the Trans Canada Trail at each end.
